Oral Roberts

Inspired by his grandfather Oral has been painting for over 20 years. Depicting the stories of the animals of the dreamtime, he draws his ideas from the totems of his tribal clan and family. Influenced by the landscape, its colors and the spirit beings that created it, his paintings naturally come to him like visions. Over the years Oral has been commissioned to create artworks for public places, designed logos, helped illustrate books and posters, screen printed his own designs on clothing and mentored younger men in painting. Oral’s artwork goes beyond the conventional canvas and extends to beautifully crafted cutouts of native fauna.
